Exploring San Jose

Exploring might be an overstatement but we didn’t have a ton of time in San Jose proper, so we drove from our rental in Alajuela into San Jose to see what we could see. We found our way to the Zoo, thinking that would be a nice walk at the very least. Turns out it was a nice walk but just a few animals. The zoo appears to be having trouble, but the staff was friendly and we saw some great turtles.

After the zoo we went to the city center, parked, found some delicious empanadas, and wandered.
