The Missions of San Antonio

I love churches. Especially old ones. Lucky for us, San Antonio has a bunch of old mission churches that make up the San Antonio Missions Historical Park. We headed over to Mission  on  Sunday morning to take in as many as we could. The first one was Concepción, then San José, then Espada, finishing up with San Juan.

This may have been my favorite part of our trip so far. I could have spent quote a few more hours wandering the grounds. I mean, take a look at this Prickly Pear growing on a roof:

  1. I did a mini-self-retreat through those missions a few years back. It is incredible how much things change—and don’t—in such a short amount of time.
