We spent the week before the 4th of July in Hay Lake, a little lake in a chain of many lakes north of Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Four of my five siblings, my parents, and I borrowed my uncle’s gorgeous log cabin (with a perfect spot for our trailer) and my mom’s cousin’s adorable cottage.
My mom’s cousin took us out on his boat and some brave souls tried water skiing.
To give you an idea of how we spent our time, here’s a gallery. In a nutshell, eating, sitting by the lake, eating, some small projects, roasting marshmallows, singing campfire songs, and eating.
And even though we were missing one brother, his wife and their two kiddos, we took a family photo:
Thanks to my oldest sister Johanna for these pics. So glad she lugged around a big old camera all week.
