For our test run we went a little further from home than we maybe should have, but it all worked out. The first night we slept in the Walmart parking lot in Gallup, New Mexico. We wanted to see what it was like to dry camp and have to level and do all that stuff without hookups. Our biggest problem was that it was hot when we went to bed so we opened all the windows and then we woke up freezing.
The next night we stayed at Red Rock State Park, near Gallup. A beautiful spot, but pretty windy. Everything went well and we managed to use all the things except the outside propane cooker. It was way too windy for that.
