Pensacola, Florida

I love the Pensacola beaches. Love. The summer heat and rain pattern is not even so bad. Basically, go to the beach in the morning and plan on museums or other indoor activities in the afternoon/evening when the rains start up. We can live without the mosquitos though. We stocked up on mosquito repellent to fend them off and lavender oil to soothe the itch of the ones that got through.

But did we mention the beaches? Clear water for ever. And the temperature. Yum. The sand is white and super fine. Delightful.

When we weren’t beaching, we checked out some forts. The kids really liked Fort Barrancas and Fort Pickens.

And to round things out, while I was working, Al took the kids to museums and other fun stuff.
